Goodbye 2oo9

Thu Dec 31, 2009, 10:14 PM
A lot has happened over this year. I'd like to say more good than bad, but I really can't. Both my parents' health put us in tight situations that I won't get into here, but I hope 2010 brings brighter days for us. This family seems to be the ultimate magnet for bad luck. Let's hope that changes. I'll be glad to see some good come out of all the crap we went through this year.

~*~*~*~*~*~

As for me, I hope to break this unemployment streak of mine. Been out of work for what is now four years. I think it's time. Maybe (maybe) I'll learn to drive. Not too crazy about that one, but it would help a lot that someone else here does know how to drive if and when my parents can't. I'm just a little bit afraid to. I don't like the idea of breaking down somewhere, alone, on a major highway (It would happen too because it's me).

~*~*~*~*~*~

Other than all that we've been through it was a good year. We're still all together as a family and still enjoy each others' company. May 2010 be good to us. May it be good to us all.

Happy New Year :hug:

4 Years on DA!

:cake: :dance: :boogie: :w00t:

Today is my 4th year on DeviantArt! When I was new to the site I didn't have any art to contribute due to lack of scanner, but I did my best to draw on Paint and submit what I could. Then when I did obtain one, I submitted so many art pieces in one day lol It was a job, but so worth it.

~*~*~*~

I still remember the day I joined. I was in high school (12th grade) and I was always browsing the site, but I wanted to favorite all the pictures I liked (and comment too :nod: ) so I went ahead and made an account real quick before my class started haha

~*~*~*~

Well I guess that's all. I wanted to make a journal for this before I realized it late tonight lol I ALWAYS do that on things like anniversaries... :slow:

Well in two days it's Halloween. I thought I was going to be excited about it because I wanted to use my new Toushiro Hitsugaya wig, but now nobody can make it for Trick or Treating with me. I would go alone, but what fun is that? None. I guess I'll just stay here and help mom give out candy. I'll still dress up. Maybe someone will recognize me.

~*~*~*~

I'm hoping next Saturday makes up for the loss on Halloween. I'm going to the Zenkaikon anime convention near me. I never went before so that should be fun. I'm half expecting it to be like Shikkaricon - very small. Either way, I'll be cosplaying Toushiro. I need to get some use out of that wig cause it won't be used until next Otakon in July >.<;

~*~*~*~

Well, I guess that about covers my week and the next. My life is extremely interesting isn't it? -_-;

When Will It End...?

How many times is the manga scan where Toushiro is getting cut in two have to be colored? Sure it's a critical moment in the story (AND A SAD ONE FOR ME!!) but after seeing it colored so many times it's getting upsetting. I really don't see the point in having to color it. Sure, it may look nicer than B&W, but it's killing me :crying: I wish it was a tiny panel and not a whole page XP

Please, excuse the little rant and whining, but there is a fan here who's actually being hurt seeing it over and over ;_; My apologies...

That aside... L-O-V-I-N-G this nice weather :heart: But the heat can go away. I'm dying over here D|

~OChibi <---love my new nickname. Thanks Eiji, Ryoma and Neko! (hahaha)

To all the "artists" out there who think they can get away with art theft... you've sunk to the lowest of the low.

Lately I've been seeing a lot more peoples' art being stolen from DA and put up AGAIN on DA! I mean seriously, you think you're going to get away with that? Instead of stealing other peoples' talents FIND YOUR OWN! This isn't just about the illustrators and photographers who have had their stuff taken, but to video artists as well who make amazing video compilations. Just because it's great and possibly better than what you could ever do doesn't mean you can just take it without permission. It's getting increasingly annoying and frightening to think that some asshole is out there probably putting up my work saying that they did it. It's also driving me to consider putting more watermarks on my pics and everyone knows that watermarks take away from the beauty of a piece. No one wants to read text (or whatever they use as a watermark) on a pic, but it can't be helped and that's because of thieving losers like yourselves.

So to all thieves who are reading this.... just make life easier for everyone and jump off a cliff. Seriously. :pissedoff:

That is all.
